Truman Edward Eddy

Funeral services for Truman Edward Eddy, 80, of Decatur will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 25, 2003 at Peck Funeral Chapel in Hartselle, the Revs. Homer Jones and Robert Watwood officiating, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery in Morgan County.

Peck Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Eddy died Wednesday, Jan. 22 at Sunbridge Care and Rehabilitation Center of Decatur. He was born on June 29, 1922 in Cullman to Arthur Clarence and Ceclela Green Eddy. He was a member of Mount Olive Holy Church of Christ and a veteran of World War II where he served in the U.S. Navy.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Buford Eddy.

Survivors include his wife, Evelee Eddy of Decatur; two sons, Jimmy Eddy of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Ricky Eddy of Decatur; a daughter, Brenda Best of Decatur; three brothers, Dillard Eddy of Albertville, Refford Eddy of Cullman and Billy Ray Eddy of Hartselle; two sisters, Hazel Chriss of Dallas, Texas and Charlotte Hamilton of Hartselle; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Randy Eddy, Richard Eddy, Todd Best, Jamie Fairbanks, Richard Hamilton and Donnie Morgan.

Visitation is from 6 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
