    Morton served in the Civil War as a drummer in the 18th Michigan Infantry, Company "A" along with his younger brother Nelson Bradish Eddy. During his lifetime, Morton worked as a farmer, carpenter and cabinetmaker. He had a pleasant voice and enjoyed singing in the church choir and for the neighborhood children. Once, he sang a duet in church with his grandson, Elmer Newton Eddy.

Nancy's family traveled the Oregon Trail in 1846/47 eventually settling in the Willamette Valley, OR and establishing the small farming community of Millersburg near Albany, OR.

    As a child, Charles moved with his parents to Pasadena, California where he grew up. In the early 1900's, he was an orange grove rancher with his father, Morton, in Escondido, CA. One year, after an unusually severe freeze they lost their crop and suffered financial hardship. At some point, Charles also managed a creosote plant in Guyamas, Mexico. On April 19, 1919, Charles started work for the General Petroleum Company (later to become Mobil Oil) as a laborer. The very next day he was promoted to supervisor of the labor crew and later to foreman. Charles, a self-educated engineer, rose quickly in this field eventually becoming the Assistant Superintendent for the Southern California Pipeline retiring on Jan. 1, 1939. In 1946, he suffered a heart attack and died at the age of 72.

    Lora, the youngest of nine children, moved from Oregon to The Palms, California with her parents when she was about 14. While working in her father's General Store, she met Charles Eddy later marrying him at the age of 18. She was a very creative individual with an excellent business sense and a lively sense of humor. As a young wife and mother at the turn of the 20th century, she packed oranges in Southern California to earn extra money and gained a reputation as the "fastest packer on the line". At various times during the 1930's Lora, an entrepreneur, owned and operated 3 small businesses; a snack bar, a Chili Hut restaurant and a donut shop. Helping her in these endeavors were the twins, Robert and Harry, who worked their way through college during The Great Depression gaining valuable business experience in the process. As a widow in her late 60's, Lora invested in real estate in Seal Beach, CA. She purchased small bungalows, kept them as rentals, then sold them for a profit. She loved to travel, and didn't slow down until she was 90. Lora was very proud of the fact she was self-supporting until her death at age 102.

    Elmer was a graduate of Pomona College, CA and of the Yale Divinity School where he obtained his Masters in Sacred Theology. He pursued postgraduate work at Harvard University and the Boston Theological School. Elmer was ordained a clergyman in the Congregational Church on April 17, 1928 and was in charge of a church in Hopkinton, MA from 1929 to 1932. He was Pastor of many New England churches including Assistant Pastor at the famous North Church in Boston. Elmer left the ministry to become a radio news commentator at WBZ in Boston. He returned to Southern California in 1948 and enjoyed photography and rock collecting. He became involved with the EFA in the 1920's and submitted information on his branch of the family for the original 1930 book. Elmer died in 1970 from diabetes at the age of 72 years.

    Julie studied fashion design and was honored when one of her designs was worn by Marlene Dietrich. She was very creative and loved to sew and travel. She collected gold charms from many places around the world creating several charm bracelets each representing a different country. As a young man, Stanley worked for his father's Blue Goose Packing Company before inheriting the business. Stanley was a real football fan and loved to hunt, fish and travel. Together, Julie and Stanley saw most of the world.

    After graduation from Whittier High School, Fern attended business school in Los Angeles and worked for many years as an Office Manager for the Crum-Brainard Oil Tool Company in addition to raising her family. Currently 97 years old, Fern is in good mental and physical health and remains active in social gatherings. She is also an avid family genealogist. In his youth, Henry enjoyed a career as a professional musician and later worked for an auto parts company.

Mar. 7, 1914 in Ogden, Weber Co., UT; dau. of Burton Lafayette (Reuben, Joseph, Reuben) and Mary (Adamson) Killingsworth. Mary is dau. of Peter (Henry, Andrew) and Annie (Cousins) Adamson who crossed the plains in a Mormon migration from Scotland.

    In 1936, Bob received his B.A. from the University of Southern California where he continued his studies earning his Masters in Speech, Theatre and Education in 1937. During college, he worked in professional radio with the Orson Wells Gloucester Group in Boston and had recurring characters in the shows "The Chameleon", "Calling all Cars", and "Cavalcade of America". He was also an "extra" in the movies "Little Women" and "Mutiny on the Bounty".

    Bob married his high school sweetheart, Merle Killingsworth, in 1937 and began a career as an educator and administrator in the field of English, Speech and Drama. He taught high school in Redlands and Chico, CA prior to attending Ohio State University where he received officers training to become a recognition officer of planes and ships. Bob served in the United States Navy from 1944-46 as a Lieutenant aboard the USS Denver CL58 cruiser in the South Pacific. He returned to civilian life in 1946 as the Assistant Chief at the State Department of Education in Sacramento, CA and five years later joined Golden Gate University in San Francisco, CA as a full professor and Dean of Admissions & Student personnel. While there, in 1956, he developed a television program called "Let them be heard" which was the first talk show to air at the KGO station.

    Later, Bob and his twin brother, Harry, started the "College Administrative Counseling Services" company for the purpose of counseling and recruiting students to various colleges. They conducted this service for 13 years and then together owned and operated "Jules Resort" in Clear Lake, CA and a motel in Fairfield, CA. Bob retired in 1976 when he and Merle moved to St. Helena in the beautiful Napa Valley of California. Bob loves traveling, playing the piano and, until recently, was a dedicated golfer.

    Following graduation from Whittier High School in 1932, Merle attended Fullerton College for two years. Having a compassionate, gentle, & loving nature, she chose to pursue a career in nursing. Merle trained as a nurse at Long Beach Naval Hospital for three years, graduating in 1937. After working as a nurse in Redlands, CA, she and Bob moved to Chico where she stayed at home to raise their family. Merle has always been an excellent cook and has served many wonderful meals to family and friends. Her delicious shortbread cookies are a family favorite. Throughout her life, Merle has enjoyed playing bridge, dancing, traveling, and most importantly, being surrounded by her family and her husband of 67 years. Merle recently celebrated her 90th birthday.

    As a young man, Harry joined a local musical group, "Rue Tyler's Rhythm Kids", where he learned to play the banjo. While in college, he was a Hollywood movie extra, appearing in such classics as "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" and "Mutiny on the Bounty". In 1940, Harry graduated with a B.A. in Speech and Drama from the University of Southern California, where he subsequently earned his Masters Degree. In recognition of outstanding contributions to USC, he was honored by election to the Skull and Dagger Society. He remained in Southern California to teach high school English and Drama, later working as a Vice-Principal until his retirement.

    After retiring, Harry and his twin brother Bob, owned and operated several businesses including a college counseling & student recruiting service, a vacation resort in Clear Lake, CA, and a motel in Fairfield, CA. An excellent carpenter and craftsmen, Harry was an easy going and philosophical man who enjoyed fishing and traveling. Harry passed away at the age of 87.

    Betty is a cheerful and creative person as well as an outstanding cook. She met her husband at the University of Southern California before her graduation in 1936, and taught kindergarten in Southern California for 35 years. After retirement, Betty and Harry were active participants in square dancing associations and competitions. They belonged to an R.V. travel group and loved to caravan around the U.S. with their friends. Until recent years, they never missed a USC home football game. Betty currently resides with her daughter, Marcia, in Stockton, CA.

He is the son of Dewey Rockwood and Ruth Lucinda (Anderson) Allen who lived in Salem then Silverton, OR.

    Judie graduated from Fullerton Union High School in 1948 and attended the University of Oregon for two years becoming a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority. She then attended the San Francisco Ballet School and subsequently taught ballet prior to staying home to raise their three children.

    Ken was a graduate of Silverton High School, OR and the University of Oregon class of 1951 in addition to being a member of the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. He served as a pilot in the United States Air Force and then became an Inventory Control Manager for JC Penney Catalogs in New York City, NY. They lived in Montvale, NJ until transferring with the JC Penney Company to Dallas, TX in 1987. Judie and Kenny retired in 1988 and a year later moved to Boothbay Harbor, Lincoln Co., Maine where Judie still resides.

Dave graduated in 1963 with a B.A. degree in Biology, receiving his California State Teachers credential in 1964, and his M.A. in Biology from Ball State University in Muncie, IN in 1971. He enjoyed a 38 year career as a high school Biology teacher, which included many years coaching football and baseball. After 36 years at Piedmont Hills High School in San Jose, CA, he retired in June, 2003. Dave has always been an avid hunter and fisherman.

    Bobbi graduated in 1965 with a B.A. and teaching credential in Secondary School Art. She chose to stay home and raise their children, later working in real estate and marketing communications for a number of years. She enjoys the creative arts and has always been an avid genealogist. Dave and Bobbi are looking forward to playing with their grandchildren and traveling during their retirement years.

Jeff has a MBA degree from National University.

    Nancy received her Teaching Degree from Farleigh Dickinson University and a Masters Degree in Music Education from Marygrove College. She taught for 15 years in Patterson, NJ and is currently teaching music in Wyckoff, NJ. They live in Mountain Lakes, Morris Co., NJ.

    Ben lived in Ventura, CA from 1966 to 1988 and received a B.S. in Sports Medicine from Pepperdine University in 1988. He lived in Austin from 1988 to 1995 and earned his MA in 1990 and PhD in Exercise Science from the University of Texas in 1995. He lived in Mount Laurel, NJ 1995-1996 and was the Howard Hughes fellow at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Ben was an Assistant Professor from 1996-2002 and is currently Associate Professor and Director of Exercise Physiology and Biochemistry Laboratories at California State University, Northridge.
