ERNEST PARKER ``SKIPPER'' MILLS, 94, of Englewood died Aug. 18. Burial was in the Montview Church Columbarium. Mr. Mills was born in Frankfort, Mich. He married Alice Irene Eddy, 1930. He served in the Navy during World War II for three years and attained the rank of lieutenant commander. He worked for Public Service for 41 years, retiring in 1971. He served a two-year and a six-year term on the Colorado State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education. He was a member of Montview Boulevard Presbyterian Church, serving on Session for 17 years. He received the Distinguished Service Award from the National Association of Trade and Technical Schools. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was president of the Rocky Mountain chapter of the American Society of Training Directors, Survivors include his wife; daughters Marjory Eddy Mills Shupert of Littleton, Susan Irene Mills Dreisbach of OH; son Jay of OH; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren

Ernest married Eddy, Alice Irene on 16 Jun 1930 in Houghton, Michigan. Alice (daughter of Eddy, William Clifton and Whitney, Irene) was born on 16 Nov 1904 in Lewiston, Maine; died on 23 Jan 2000 in Denver, CO. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
