- Goldie Yost Eddy, Fairview, WV, 72, formerly of Core, WV, died Sunday, July 29, 1979, at the Fairmont Emergency Hospital.
Born June 12, 1907, at Jakes Run, WV, she was the daughter of the late Otis and the late Rosa Tennant Yost.
Her husband, Ralph Eddy, died, in 1971.
She was a member of Hagans Run United Methodist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Eddy of Fairmont, and Richard Eddy of Marlington, WV; two daughters, Evelyn Varner, Route 1, Graysville, Pa. and Helen Shaffer, Route 7, Fairmont, three sisters, Madge Bowers, Maxine Yost and Florence Yost, all of Westover, WV; 16 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

Friends of Goldie Y. Eddy, 72, of Fairmont, WV, who died Sunday, July 29, 1979, will be received from 7-9 PM Monday and from 10 AM to 1 PM Tuesday, at the Owen Funeral Home in Blacksville, WV. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Wilson officiating. Burial will be at the Eddy Chapel Cemetery, Jakes Run, WV.
