Jane was born 14 Oct 1823 in Ayton Scotland, died 1906 in Nunicam MI. Quoting from my great grandfather's memoirs,
" My father's sister Jane was married in Canada to a worthless man, Eddy by name. There were two boys, James and Charles. James was a decent fellow and hard working. He was for many years a member of the Grand Rapids [MI] Fire Department, received an accident in stopping a runaway horse and died from the effects of it some years ago.
"Charles Eddy was no good. I have not heard of him for years and do not know what became of him. There were one or two daughters by Eddy but I never knew them.
"Aunt Jane separated from Eddy previous to 1860. She came to this city and married a man named John Ulthorp......"
It continues on for a couple of more sentences The above was written by Charles R. Sligh in 1913.
