  Rachel Eddy Dies Sunday at home Mrs. Rachel Ellen Eddy, aged 88 years passed away yesterday morning in her home near McCurdysville. She had been ill for several weeks. The deceased was the widow of Peter H. Eddy, who died 36 years ago. Children surviving are; Enoch D. Eddy, Mrs. Mary Newbrough, Mrs. Arlie McCoy, Isaac, Thomas, Ira, John and Margaret. Also 22 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Two grandchildren, Mary Kennedy and Beeryle McCoy were reared in the Eddy home. A brother, Richard Tennant lives in Reedy, Roane County. Burial will be made in the Tennant Cemetery. Death date was Feb. 18, 1940 She was the daughter of Eliab and Elizabeth Tennant
