  [EFA4.FTW] Astrid Anderson Eddy, 88, a former school secretary and Bethesda resident, died of a liver ailment Aug. 14 at Asbury Methodist Village's Wilson Health Care Center in Gaithersburg. Mrs. Eddy, who was born in Hartford, Conn., lived in Bethesda for many years before moving to Asbury Village in 1995. She came to Washington during World War II to work as a secretary for the War Department. She joined Bethesda Elementary School as a secretary in the 1950s, then worked at Bannockburn Elementary in Bethesda until the early 1960s. She was a member of Bethesda Methodist Church. Her husband, Bernard Blakeman Eddy, died in 1967. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Eddy of Pittsburgh and Linda Cleveland of Bethesda; and four grandchildren.
