  1746 EDDY EDDY William, of Caleb and Methitable, April 25, 1746. 1 55 Birth Warren At the time of the 1774 Census he was a resident of Scituate, RI with a household consisting of one male over 16, five under 16, and one female. He does not appear in the 1777 Census of RI. Probably around 1775 he joined his brother Samuel in western MA for he served in the Revolutionary War, from Gageborough with the following service: William Eddy, Gageborough. Sergeant, Capt. John Wood's company, Col. Paul Dudley Sargent's regiment; muster roll dated Aug. 1, 1775; enlisted April 24, 1775; service 3 months 15 days; also, company return (prob. Oct, 1775); also, order for bounty coat or its equivalent in money dated Cambridge, November 15, 1775.
