Army and five other American military decorations, and the following foreign decorations: Officer of the Leglon of Honor (France), Grand Officer of the Order of Nichan-el-Anouar (France), Companion of the Order of St. Michael and St. George (England), Commander of the Order of Leopold II (Belgium), Commander of the Order of the Crown (Italy), Officer of the Order of the White Eagle (Serbia), Commander of the Order of Prince Danilo I (Montenegro), Montenegrin War Cross, Officer of La Soliladad (Panama), Commander, Order of the Crown of Roumania, Order "Polonia Restituta" of Poland.
Graduated at Georgetown University Law School, Washington, D. C., with degree of L. L. B. and L. L. M. Has been in the United States Army since 1898. Served in France during the World War and has seen foreign service in Cuba and Philippines.
At the present time is assistant to the Quartermaster General of the Army with the rank of Brigadier General.

Horton is retiring with the permission of President Coolidge to resume the practice of law in Boston and Washington. A hero of the battle of San Juan Hill in the Spanish-American War, Horton has seen service in two Philippine campaigns and in the World War.
