- BLANCHE SHANE EDDY PARKER
Morgantown, W.Va. - Blanche Shane Eddy Parker, 74, Blacksville, WVa. died Monday at the Monongalia General Hospital, Morgantown, WVa.
She was born June 12, 1901, at Daybrook, WVa., a daughter of the late Jacob A. and Louverna Tennant Shane. She was a retired teacher and member of the Retired Teachers Association, belonging to county, state and national organizations. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Blacksville Volunteer Fire Company and a former director of Clay-Battelle Community Health Center. She was a member of the Daybrook Church of Christ.
She is survived by three sons; Donald K. Eddy and Robert D. Eddy of Baltimore, Md., and Edward L. Eddy, Waynesburg [Greene Co., PA], RD 2.; one stepson Monie C. (Bill) Parker, Valparaiso, Ind.; two daughters, Mrs. Chet (Irene) Kastner, Rosemond, Calif. and Mrs. Ray (Darla) Lambert, Cleveland, Oh.; one step-daughter, Mrs. Milford (Helen) Suder, Rivesville, WVa.; three brothers, Ira Shane, Morgantown, Harley Shane, Warren, and Don Shane, Fairview, WVa.; two sisters, Miss Grace Shane of Fairview and Mrs. Jesse M. Oelker, Clarksburg, WVa.; 18 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and four step grandchildren.
She is proceeded in death by her first husband, Esta R. Eddy, who died in 1931 and her second husband, Monie Dee Parker who died Dec. 22, 1974; and one daughter.
