- Samuel S. Eddy, aged 89 years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W.A. Rogers, near Brave [Greene Co.], early last "Wednesday" evening, Oct. 31, 1945 about 5:30 o'clock. His death followed a lingering illness.
A well known farmer and stock raiser, Mr. Eddy was born in Wayne Township, on Sept. 12, 1856. He was a son of John and Elizabeth Kughn Eddy, deceased, and was the last of his family.
He is survived by his wife, Sidona Maple Eddy, two sons, John, of Louisville, Ky., and Charles, of Pittsburgh, and a daughter, Mrs. W.A. Rogers, of Pine Bank, RD 1, at whose home he died. One daughter is deceased. He also leaves 10 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements for Samuel S. Eddy of near Brave, who died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 1945 are incomplete. Friends will be received at the home of his daughter, Mrs. W. A. Rogers of Pine Bank, RD 1, after 7 P.M. today "Thursday" George I. Church is the funeral director.
