  [S003074] Obituary, The Saratogian November 13, 2004. Donald E. Eddy Donald E. Eddy 92 eight lifelong resident of eight Washington street died Friday November 12 2004 at his home . Born October 23, 1912 at his home on Washington street he was the son of Charles and Eunice Eddy . Don was honorably discharged from the U.S. army, serving during world war two and taking part in the occupation of Japan. He retired in 1981 from the U.S. postal service in Schuylerville where he had been employed for 34 years . he was a communicant of Notre Dame visitation church in Schuylerville . A member of old Saratoga post number 278 American legion and a member of Adirondackchapter number 1932 national association of Federal employees . In addition to his parents he was predeceased by one sister , Helen Germain . Survivors include his wife of 35 years Josephine Yakubec Eddy of Schuylerville one sister Marion Decker of Schuylerville two stepchildren Frank J. Yakubec and his wife Marion of Easton and Mary Ann Hathaway and her husband George of Saratoga springs ; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews . A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM Monday November 15, 2004 , at Notre Dame visitation church in Schuylerville with the reverend Christopher Welch officiating . The right of committal will follow at the prospect Tyndol cemetery in Schuylerville . Friends may call from two to 4:30 PM on Sunday at Flynn brothers Inc.
