They had three children . Query: Could this have been the son of James and Eleanor Eddy? 1151 (12308) JAMES EDDY, drowned in the Maunee River, OH after 1840 he married Dorothy Ireland born probably in Virginia, died ca 1841 at Maunee, OH, having grieved herself to death. Positive indentification of the above JAMES EDDY is still lacking. According to tradition, he and Dorothy were married around Bellefontiane, OH. In hopes of aiding future researchers, a few facts are presented herein. Following thye death of JAMES EDDY and Dorothy threr of their children were raised by friends, Orry and Laviah Adams, who were in Monroe County, Michigan. At the time of the 1850 census for Monroe County, Michigan lists a James Eddy aged 16 b. In Pa.; Sarah James Eddy age 15 b in Pa. And Mary Ellen Eddy aged 12 born in OH were all members of the Adams household. Not the above ages do not. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael L. Eddy; one daughter, Genevieve Bills; two sisters, Lena Seckman and Lucretia Cronin; and thr brothers, James, John, and Floyd Jameson.
