Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the Arner Funeral Chapel
in Chester for Howard Pryor, 84, of Lawrenceville, who died Sunday at
the City Hospital, East Liverpool, O., after a lingering illness.
A native of St. Marys, he was born Feb. 22, 1888, a son of Harvey
and Sarah Cronin Pryor. He had resided most of his life in the Newell
and Chester area.
Mr. Pryor had worked as a potter since 1911, retiring in 1955
from the Homer Laughlin China Co. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Mrs. Harriet Elizabeth (Eddy) Pryor, Feb. 14, 1972.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Otha (Gaynell)
Cunningham, with whom he resided, Mrs. Benson (Lavada) Marshall of
Green Springs, W. Va., and Mrs. Leonard (Macie) Cunningham of Fairfax,
Va.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Evangelist Frank Higginbotham of the Virginia Ave. Church of
Christ, Chester, officiated. Burial was at the Locust Hill Cemetery,
Chester.

Family/Spouse: Eddy, Elizabeth Harriet. Elizabeth (daughter of Eddy, Rodom Thomas and Britton, Mary Adeline) was born on 25 May 1891 in Pleasants, West Virginia; died on 14 Feb 1972; was buried in Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester, WV. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
