Mabel E. Eddy, 85, of Route 2, St. Marys, died May 18, 1995, at CareHav
of Pleasants, Belmont, following an extended illness.
She was born Aug. 10, 1909, in Pleasants County, a daughter of the late
Coleman and Letha Whaley Davis. She was a member of the Nine Mile United
Methodist Church and a former food service worker at Colin Anderson Center,
St. Marys.
She is survived by two daughters, Mattilou A. Bailey of Rochester, PA,
Betty J. Bailey of St. Marys; two sons, Jennings Eddy Jr., of Parkersburg,
and William D. Eddy of St. Marys; one sister, Ruth F. Niday of Charlott
NC; 14 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jennings Eddy in 1981;
one brother, Ernest Davis; two sisters, Artie Shultz and Myrtle Schultz; an
infant son and an infant daughter.
Services will be Sunday, 2pm at the Nine Mile United Methodist Church.
Interment will be in the Nine Mile Cemetery.
