PRYOR, HOWARD
Died 18 Feb 1973

Services were held Tuesday, Feb. 20 at the Arner Funeral Chapel
in Chester for Howard Pryor, 84, of Lawrenceville, who died Sunday at
the City Hospital, East Liverpool, O., after a lingering illness.
A native of St. Marys, he was born Feb. 22, 1888, a son of Harvey
and Sarah Cronin Pryor. He had resided most of his life in the Newell
and Chester area.
Mr. Pryor had worked as a potter since 1911, retiring in 1955
from the Homer Laughlin China Co. He was preceded in death by his
wife, Mrs. Harriet Elizabeth (Eddy) Pryor, Feb. 14, 1972.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Otha (Gaynell)
Cunningham, with whom he resided, Mrs. Benson (Lavada) Marshall of
Green Springs, W. Va., and Mrs. Leonard (Macie) Cunningham of Fairfax,
Va.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Evangelist Frank Higginbotham of the Virginia Ave. Church of
Christ, Chester, officiated. Burial was at the Locust Hill Cemetery,
Chester.

Howard married Eddy, Elizabeth Harriet. Elizabeth (daughter of Eddy, Rodom Thomas and Britton, Mary Adeline) was born on 25 May 1891 in Pleasants, West Virginia; died on 14 Feb 1972; was buried in Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester, WV. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

PRYOR, MRS. HOWARD
Died 14 Feb 1972

Mrs. Harriet E. Pryor, 80, of Lawrenceville, wife of Howard
Pryor, died Feb 14 at the Fox Nursing Home in Chester, where she had
been a patient three weeks.
Mrs. Pryor was born in St. Marys May 25, 1891, a daughter of
Rodam Thomas Eddy and Mary Britton Eddy. She was a member of the
Virginia Ave. Church of Christ in Chester.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ota (Gaynell)
Cunningham, with whom she resided, Mrs. Benson (Lavada) Marshal of
Ashburn, Va., and Mrs. Leonard (Macie) Cunningham of Fairfax, Va.; two
brothers, Leslie Eddy of Belmont, and Elbert Eddy of St. Marys; four
sisters, Miss Fay Eddy and Mrs. Edna Metts, both of St. Marys, Mrs.
Icie Cunningham of Ravenna, O., and Mrs. Vesta Morgan of Brunswick, O.;
nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were held Wednesday at the Chester Chapel of the Arner
Home for Funerals by Evangelist Frank Higginbotham. Burial was in
Locust Hill Cemetery, Chester.
