    LAKE WALES -- Mr. Byron T. Eddy of Lake Wales died of a bloodstream infection Sunday (June 29, 2003). He was 75.

    He was a Navy and Merchant Marines veteran of World War II.

    Mr. Eddy is survived by his wife, Emojean McNeely Eddy; children, Sandra Goerke, Paula Kolb, both of Rochester, N.Y., Byron T. Eddy II, Fairview, Pa., Susan Morehouse, Alden, N.Y.; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

    Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Rogersville Cemetery.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation.

    Emma Harriet Wise Eddy, Funeral services were held afternoon for Mrs. Emma H. Eddy , aged 53 years, wife of S. H. Eddy, of Brave, who died in her home Friday morning, Jan. 8, 1932. The services were held at 1:30 in the Kent Methodist Episcopal church at Brave with Rev. O. L. Hawkins, pastor, in charge. Interment was in the Phillips cemetery.
    Mrs. Eddy was born in Wayne township, Nov. 18, 1877, a daughter of Basil Wise and Rebecca White Wise, and spent all her life in that section, where she was well known. Besides her husband she leaves one son. Paul O. Eddy, of Brave; one daughter, Mrs. Gail Wood, of Brave; two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Mitchell and Mrs. Samuel Cumberledge, both of Nettle Hill, and one brother, William R. Wise, of Mt. Morris, RD. There are eight grandchildren. Mrs. Eddy was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church.
